SAN JOSE, Calif. — Amazon, Google, and Microsoft are writing longer custom-silicon contracts even as they remain Nvidia's largest customers.
The order book is less a rejection of GPUs than a hedge: cheaper inference, a bargaining chip in supply meetings, and a way to keep CUDA from becoming the only line item a CFO can see.
