SAN FRANCISCO — Uber Technologies Inc. and Costco Wholesale Corp. expanded their delivery partnership to 47 U.S. states, scaling warehouse fulfillment across the Uber Eats platform, the companies announced on Sept. 16, 2026, as reported by CNBC. The expanded agreement broadens a regional arrangement that previously covered 17 states, allowing Costco members across 30 additional states to order warehouse merchandise for delivery through the Uber Eats application.

Strategic Context

The operational expansion connects Costco's physical warehouse network directly to Uber Eats' last-mile routing infrastructure across a significantly larger geographic footprint. Under the updated deployment, eligible Costco members can browse store inventory and place delivery orders directly through the platform interface.

The program originally operated across a limited footprint of 17 states during its initial phase. By scaling into 47 states, the two companies transition their joint program from a regional pilot into a near-nationwide enterprise partnership for warehouse delivery fulfillment.

Forward Outlook

Execution now centers on managing last-mile logistics across the 30 newly added states. Operators will track how the expanded territory affects service fulfillment, warehouse picking operations, and member usage across the broad 47-state footprint.
