WASHINGTON — For two years the app-store fight was a legal narrative. It is becoming a price narrative. Developers said new steering rules and fee experiments are appearing in contract addenda, which is how a remedy becomes a P&L.

Platforms argue that they still provide the distribution, the payment risk, and the refund desk. Developers argue that a 30 percent starting point was a monopoly souvenir.

Wall Street should model a range, not a cliff. A few points of take-rate matter enormously at platform scale and barely at all in a keynote.
