The Hershey Company has appointed Heather Hoytink as its new president for the US business. She is expected to resume the role on 8 July 2026. Hoytink joins Hershey from PepsiCo, where she had several senior leadership roles, such as Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. She helped grow sales and strengthen relationships with major customers.
Hoytink has more than 20 years of experience in sales, business operations, and commercial leadership. Before her latest role, she led PepsiCo’s South Division, one of the company’s biggest regions, where she helped increase revenue and profits. At Hershey, Hoytink will lead the company's entire US commercial business. She will be responsible for growing sales across Hershey's chocolate and candy products, salty snacks, and protein brands. The women will also help drive the company's "ONE Hershey" strategy, which aims to create a more connected experience for customers and consumers.
According to Hershey CEO Kirk Tanner, Hoytink’s track record of leading massive commercial operations makes her the perfect fit to guide the company's next phase of growth. This background is essential as Hershey continues its aggressive push beyond the candy aisle. Over the last few years, the company has built a massive footprint in the snack and health space, acquiring fan-favourite brands like SkinnyPop, Pirate's Booty, Dot's Homestyle Pretzels, ONE Brands, and Fulfil.
