Specifically, the deal focuses on High Bandwidth Memory chips, widely used in accelerators and AI-based processors to deliver higher computing power and data transfer rates.
With the steadily rising number of customers interested in generative artificial intelligence applications, manufacturers are increasingly investing in developing the necessary hardware. SK Hynix will supply NVIDIAwith next-generation HBM chipsets for what NVIDIA terms "AI factories", massive computing centres that aim at developing artificial intelligence.
