USA McDonald's Names Skye Anderson as Its New President

McDonald’s announces the appointment of Skye Andersonas its new President of the USA business. With more than 26 years of experience at McDonald's, she brings deep operational discipline and strong financial judgment to her new role.

Skye will be responsible for nearly 14,000 restaurants across the United States and lead the company’s largest region. As the organization aims to expand McDonald’s>NEXT, its strategy to become customers’ first choice while focusing on growth and productivity across the system.

She succeeds Joe Erlinger, the former president, who decided to leave the company after spending more than two decades with McDonald's, including almost seven years overseeing the US business.

Skye has held various roles at McDonald's, including Chief Operating Officer, USA; President, Global Business Services; President, West Zone, US; Field Vice President, USA; Chief Financial Officer, Australia; Senior Director, Finance, Australia; and Operations Controller, Australia.

Prior to McDonald, she worked with Deloitte Australia and Greenwood Challoner, where she built strong foundational skills in business strategy and leadership.

As a chartered Accountant from Australia and New Zealand, she holds a degree in B.Com in Accounting and Business Management from Macquarie University.

Her appointment signifies a deliberate move of the company initiated earlier this year with her return to McDonald's USA as Chief Operating Officer. The organization brings her on board to ensure continuity and prepare her to lead the company’s largest market.
