Anduril Company to Manufacture Advanced Combat Drones

The Anduril industry in the United States is building a new factory in Ohio to produce a high-speed combat drone called FURY. The new factory, named Arsenal-1, is projected to boost employment by about 4,000 over the next decade with a $1 billion investment. The advanced combat drone is designed to fly alongside human fighter pilots. The high-speed FURY is manufactured to support various missions, including surveillance, defence, and combat. Due to recent US conflicts with other nations, the demand for AI drones has grown rapidly, as unmanned systems have proven effective.  The Anduril Industry manufactures defense products instead of using traditional methods; it uses commercial technology for faster and cheaper production. The company utilizes aluminium instead of expensive titanium, opting for techniques such as boatbuilding while manufacturing ready-made jet engines for low maintenance. The FURY is a part of the US Air Force program, Collaborative Combat Aircraft, which aims to build a system in which human pilots and AI drones work alongside each other.
