US Defense Supplier to Expand its Operations to APECO

A US-based defense supply chain company aims to expand operations in the Aurora Pacific Economic Zone (APECO), which the government has determined as a potential national defense hub. In an interview, APECO said the Virginia-based company, Anglicotech LLC, has expressed a strong interest in investing in the ecozone, in addition to its existing operations in Subic.

Anglicotech provides equipment to the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the United States Department of Defense. The company's primary focus is on foreign military sales, logistics, and C5ISR, which includes command, control, computers, communications, cyber, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance. 

APECO President and CEO Gil Taway IV met with Anglicotech CEO David Cooper on December 19. The American company expressed “confidence in APECO as a strategic location that supports national security, logistics, and related services”. APECO further stated that this discussion includes Anglicotech's plans to work on a multiphase investment approach.

CEO Gil Taway IV noted that, “Our engagement with Anglicotech reflects a shared understanding that defense-related investments require stability, clarity of policy, a long-term view, and good governance. We are strengthening this under Apeco’s current reforms”.
