The shareholders nearly unanimously rejected the proposed 2024 executive compensation at Warner Bros. Discovery’s annual shareholder meeting, according to financial regulators. A vote at a Trump rally does not bind people in any way.
In 2022, shareholders approved executive compensation with a vote of 53%.

In a statement, the Warner Bros. Discovery Board of Directors mentioned paying attention to all its shareholders’ opinions. It said it values the results of the advisory vote on executive compensation. The Compensation Committee of the Board is eager to keep having useful discussions with our shareholders.

Since being appointed CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery in 2022, following the merger of WarnerMedia and Discovery, Inc., Zaslav has received a total compensation of $51.9 million, which includes cash and stock awards.
In 2024, Warner Bros. Discovery’s stock fell 7%, but Netflix's stock rose more than 80%, and Disney's rose 24%.
Netflix’s leaders, Ted Sarandos and Greg Peters, received salaries totalling $61.9 million and $60.3 million in the past year, but Bob Iger made much less at Disney with $41.1 million.
