Vision Group showcased its portfolio of AI data center power and energy storage products at YOTTA 2026 in Las Vegas on September 29 and September 30, marking the first public appearance of the LiLic Sidecar system, according to a report by PR Newswire M&A published on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026. The company presented its high-voltage direct current power solutions, battery backup units, and battery energy storage systems to address growing demand for high-power delivery and flexible backup power in artificial intelligence infrastructure. As data centers move toward higher power densities, power systems must accommodate rapidly changing loads while managing space utilization and deployment timelines.
Hybrid Cell Design and Power Architecture
A key highlight of the exhibit, the LiLic Sidecar connects directly to an 800V DC busbar and is compatible with the OCP ORV4 open rack standard. The unit uses a hybrid cell design combining the pulse-cycling characteristics of lithium-ion capacitors with the backup capabilities of lithium iron phosphate batteries. In a five-module operating configuration, each cabinet delivers 1MW of rated discharge power and at least 60 seconds of backup at a 1MW load. Tom Qin, vice president of strategy and business management at Vision Group, said in an interview that the system represents a new path to redefine backup power architecture for artificial intelligence data centers.
Thermal Management and Integrated Systems
The product features an All-in-One design that integrates functions from central backup units and battery backup units to reduce the space required for separately deployed equipment. Its integrated battery management system and DC-to-DC design lower the number of external connectors, while hot-swappable modules facilitate maintenance. For thermal management, the product combines immersion cooling with cold-plate cooling using an electrically insulating, flame-retardant coolant. Similar cooling innovations and advanced equipment deployments require strict engineering tolerances, which Vision Group addresses through extensive testing regimens.
Comprehensive Energy and Backup Solutions
Vision Group also showcased high-voltage direct current, battery backup, and energy storage solutions to address power requirements at different scales. The high-voltage direct current solution uses an 800V architecture and has been deployed at a hyperscale artificial intelligence data center in Ulanqab. The 72kW battery backup unit features a compact 2RU design, a 5+1 redundant architecture, and three levels of fire safety protection. The energy storage portfolio includes 5.015MWh and 6.48MWh liquid-cooled battery energy storage containers alongside a 215kWh immersion-cooled cabinet, providing surplus capacity for peak shaving and valley filling.
Safety Protocols and Global Market Reach
During an industry media interview at the event, Tom Qin emphasized that safety and reliability remain the company's first principle in high-density computing environments. He noted that the highly dynamic nature of AI loads places greater demands on the long-term stability of power systems, making safety essential throughout the product lifecycle. He cited large-scale indoor fire tests of the REVO 3.0 lithium battery system for uninterruptible power supply applications to illustrate system-level safety validation under extreme conditions. North America is a strategic market for Vision Group and will be a key focus of future efforts, Tom Qin said. Founded in 1994, Vision Group operates in more than 100 countries and maintains collaborations with companies including Eaton, Vertiv, Schneider Electric, and Delta. Supported by manufacturing facilities in Vietnam and an overseas service network, the company is advancing its strategy to expand from individual backup products to integrated power supply and distribution solutions for global cloud providers.
