MagPro, operating as Nanjing CIPU Technology Co., Ltd., announced the launch of the AeroLev 1850 on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2026, according to a report by PR Newswire M&A. The platform is a 1.85 MW-class, 45°C-ready air-cooled, magnetic-bearing chiller platform built for next-generation artificial intelligence data centers operating in water-scarce and high-ambient environments. MagPro is structured as a joint venture between CIGU Technology Corp. Ltd. and EPG Data Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., focusing on energy-efficient thermal management systems for hyperscale and cloud facilities.
Core Chiller Architecture and Efficiency
The AeroLev 1850 platform centers on a dedicated air-cooled magnetic-levitation compressor with an isentropic efficiency reaching up to 87%. A patented condenser on the unit provides subcooling exceeding 3°C, while standard electronic commutation fans enhance overall electrical performance. According to the company, these integrated technologies yield up to 40% higher overall energy efficiency and up to 8% lower failure rates than conventional oil-lubricated compressors. The system also delivers up to 10% lower maintenance costs compared with standard chillers.
By removing evaporative cooling water from the thermal equation, the platform eliminates a major operational bottleneck for operators in arid or water-stressed regions. The system includes a free-cooling capability that leverages ambient air during lower-temperature periods to reduce compressor runtime, electrical draw, and overall operating expenses. Similar optimization strategies are reshaping industrial power configurations, akin to how DoGo Power launches smart grid-forming energy storage system and AI strategy for global orders to handle surging computational power demands.
Compatibility with Liquid Cooling Architectures
Infrastructure operators are increasingly shifting toward direct-to-chip and immersion liquid cooling to manage extreme rack densities. The AeroLev 1850 addresses this transition by supplying chilled water at temperatures up to 45°C, which supports high-temperature cooling architectures without necessitating expensive structural reinvestments. The unit utilizes a standardized modular design intended to facilitate rapid physical installation and flexible capacity expansion as artificial intelligence workloads scale.
"As water constraints become a defining consideration for data-center development, AeroLev 1850 advances a resilient model for AI data-center cooling," said William Wu, General Manager of Nanjing CIPU Technology Co., Ltd. "It enables efficient, reliable compute growth in challenging environments while turning today's infrastructure into long-term resilience." Parent Company Capabilities and Production Base
MagPro maintains a production facility spanning more than 6,000 square meters alongside two specialized air-cooled laboratories capable of testing air-cooled units up to 2,000 kW. The joint venture combines manufacturing assets from both parent entities. Nanjing CIGU Technology Corp., Ltd. trades on the Shanghai Stock Exchange STAR Market under the ticker 688448 and is headquartered in Nanjing, China. CIGU specializes in magnetic levitation drive technology, having delivered more than 10,000 maglev units worldwide across chillers, blowers, air compressors, vacuum pumps, and expander generator sets.
The co-parent, EPG Data Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., brings over 20 years of experience as a prefabricated modular data center infrastructure provider. EPG employs more than 1,500 people with manufacturing plants located in Shanghai and Malaysia, delivering end-to-end engineering, research, and project execution across the Asia-Pacific region, Europe, the Middle East, and other global markets.
"MagPro marks an important step in our global cooling technology strategy," said Alick Wan, Founder and Chairman of EPG Data Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. "By combining EPG's engineering and delivery expertise with CIGU's core magnetic-levitation technology, we are building resilient, resource-efficient digital infrastructure less dependent on water. AeroLev 1850 reflects our commitment to advancing green data-center infrastructure and a sustainable digital ecosystem worldwide."
